OmniCast Weather uses your weather location, notification preferences, and app settings to provide forecasts, radar, charts, widgets, and optional weather alerts.
Information We Use
- Location: used to request forecasts, radar, alerts, and widgets for the places you choose.
- Notification token: used only to send weather alerts you enable.
- Notification preferences: used to decide which alerts to send and which thresholds to apply.
- App settings: stored on your device and, for shared app/widget settings, in the app group container.
- Smart Forecast cache: model-weight data may be cached by approximate latitude and longitude to improve forecast quality.
- Tip Jar purchases: processed by Apple; OmniCast Weather does not receive payment card details.
Information We Do Not Sell
OmniCast Weather does not sell personal information and does not use third-party advertising trackers.
Service Providers
OmniCast Weather uses forecast and infrastructure services to operate the app, including Open-Meteo, NOAA, Apple services, and Supabase.
Data Retention
Notification event logs are retained for operational monitoring and are pruned automatically. Device tokens may be kept while alerts are enabled. Smart Forecast cache rows expire automatically.
Your Choices
You can disable location access in iOS Settings, manage notification permissions in iOS Settings, and change alert preferences inside OmniCast Weather.
